Our educational programs are designed to support and guide your child as he or she moves at an individual pace through each developmental and learning stage. At TLC, we understand the learning behavior patterns of children, and how quickly children can advance through the stages of growth.  For this reason our curriculum is divided into six-month increments, instead of the year-to-year approach typical of most day care facilities. This means that as your child advances from the two year old level to the two and a half year old level, he or she will be exposed to new concepts and ideas appropriate for that point in his or her development.

We plan each day, week, month and year to optimize the development of each child who attends TLC.  Each teacher is involved in the planning and development of your child’s day. Posted lesson plans and schedules, as well as take-home material help keep you informed and involved in your child's progresses.

At TLC Schools, we have chosen the ABEKA curriculum for students ages two through Kindergarten. We believe ABEKA is the most outstanding and well-rounded program available. It is thorough, detailed and structured. It ensures that your child will be taught new material at each level, while reviewing previously taught material. This approach provides continuity and reinforcement in the learning process. Most importantly, ABEKA allows our teachers to concentrate on what is most important– your child.

Educational tools

At TLC, we use a wide variety of traditional, active learning tools such as puzzles, blocks, art supplies, books and dramatic play areas that offer a broad range of interesting and challenging activities. We will also introduce your child to the world of computers. Each class, starting at age two, has computers and age-appropriate software available.

The Great Outdoors

At TLC, we know that in a child’s mind, nothing is better than “playing outside.”  For this purpose we maintain separate, age-appropriate outside playground areas that are designed to let your child have fun and explore their world in a safe and supervised environment. Indoor activity rooms are also used to help develop gross motor skills.
